CCA Orientation Video 2009

Yo Drama club members,

I recently made a new video,
my first and hopefully my last.

Why?

Because Windows Movie Maker is such a bugger,
it hung up on me so many times,
and made me so pissy.
Grr! I hate the program :P

But here we go.
We will show the video next year for our secondary one CCA orientation.
Plus, we will perform a short excerpt of our Crescendo item (yes, LIVE).
We can't show the whole Crescendo item because it is too long.

We will rehearse on that when school reopens.

It's not a very good video (What do you expect? It was made by a novice/beginner!),
but I hope you like it anyway.
Comments would be great.

. . .

And this was last year's video, made by Badrul.
Ya know, the one you secondary one members watched
before joining our wonderful club.
Yes yes.

. . .

Ahh, back then when I had lots of pimples,
before I became the gorgeous person I am today.
Just kidding, ya? :)

Hehe, Badrul's video is very HSM-centred.
Of course, he loves his High School Musical :P

Enjoy,
Herman

DRAMA CAMP 2009!

I presume most of you collapsed on your bed after you've reached home today.
I know I did, I told myself I did not want to sleep after showering,
"Aiya, Herman, just lie down on the bed for a while nevermind one lah," my mind calls me.
And so I did, and poof! I fell asleep till 6 this evening.

I am exceptionally proud that we were able to organise and pull off this camp :)
Kudos to everyone who turned up!
How dare Afiqah, Justin and Sherin miss the drama camp.
They will be punished severely. Soon, soon.

Bahaha.

I'm not sure I have much to say now.
Whatever I wanted to say must have already been penned down inside my drama journal.

To put it bluntly, drama camp was superbly marvellously amazingly DRAMATICALLY fun!

. . .

The highlight of day 1 was probably murder mystery.
I really enjoyed acting as Master Herman :)
And thank you to the other sec threes and Cheryl and Safiya for helping out with the roles.
Just so you know, the game was planned one day before by me and Seraphina -.-

I hope you juniors enjoyed being investigators.
I felt proud when we heard each and everyone of your explanations and evidences.
I thought it was well thought through, especially Hui xin's and Aisyah's :)

Let the interrogation begin.

From left to right:

Lady Afiqah (played by Cheryl)
Master Herman
Mistress Diana
Sir Justin (played by Safiya!)
Madam Kay yee
Lady Seraphina

"I suspect you, Master Herman...
NO WAIT, I suspect Lady Afiqah!
See see, Madam Kay yee agrees with me!" - Maneesha

Everything was actually meant to be a distraction.
The only clue was the thumbprint on Lady Seraphina's cup.
You forgot to check our hands for thumbprints.
The only person who had a thumbprint was Madam Kay yee :)

This also proves that you cannot trust what a suspect is saying.
Although Madam Kay yee was calm, petite and a woman of little words,
she was, all in all, the person who killed Lady Seraphina.

. . .

Day 2 had many highlights.

The first was probably the Wizard of Oz play.
A little too long, but a very fun musical indeed :)
I think most of us enjoyed it,
especially the winkies (?) with their little guard walk!

"Um-im-um, YO HO!"

"Now I know I've got a heart, because it's breaking."
Aww, the sad line that Tinman said that made Cheryl almost cry.
She has a crush on the actor -.-

"Somewhere, over the rainbow..."

Ha! I got scolded for taking this photo in the theatre.
(Blame Cheryl!)

. . .

Of course, the second highlight was the reunion with our seniors and graduates!
Boy, it was great to see Nick's batch all over again.
It felt like such a merry and happy moment!

BAD and EM.
BADEM.
EMBAD.

Aww, Jun Heng and Vivian.
It was almost impossible to get a photo with these two -.-'

TEO.
SARAH.
NADIAH.

. . .

And the last highlight was (no, not the horror movie!),
the final group competition.
No elaboration needed :)

Journal writing and preparing for the competition :)

(Psst... Mdm Norul is bullying Diana.)
We must warn Mr Sam for her immediate arrest.

. . .

The highlight of day 3.
Well... day 3 was just breakfast, journal writing and photo-taking.
I don't think there's much of a highlight :P

Group photo!
Minus Kay yee and Adlynn, who left early,
and Afiqah, Justin and Sherin (who never came, tsk tsk).

Say "DRAMA!"
WE LOVE DRAMA!

. . .

And there you have it, our drama camp, "summarised".
If you read all that and have survived till this point, congratulations, well done.

Thank you to Ms Anne and Mdm Norul for having planned the camp as a whole.
Thank you to Cheryl, Afiqah, Emily and Seraphina for helping to plan the sec 3 games.
And thank you to everyone who turned up and made this camp a success.

Thanks!
And I hope to see you soon when school reopens!
Let's go kick some freshmen butt and get some more sec one recruits.
And hopefully, some boys -.-

And of course, let's welcome our newest member to the club: Rachel!

Good night peeps!
Herman
