Hi again Dramaclubbers,
Here as promised, the videos for the stress scene and the exercise routine scene.
I wanted to combine all the videos into one and upload it on youtube,
but I could not as the videos in were MPG4 format.
Um... nevermind. You win this round, Seraphina and Safiya.
Henceforth, I uploaded the videos on Blogger.
The quality is absolutely crap, I'm sorry, but I hope you don't mind :)
The Stress Scene - Overall
"3 bottles of Agarol... but then again, why waste money on laxatives, when a finger is just as good?"
Ooh, fiesty Hui xin!
. . .
And now the videos for the same scene,
but focusing on different parts of the stage.
Please look at your own character and see for yourself what improvements you can make.
Sorry again, my camera has a... very small focal point?
Meaning to say I can't fit everybody in the screen at once.

. . .
The Stress Scene - Right Stage
Hmm, not bad, not bad.
Oh, and did anyone notice Cheryl's strange new haircut? :P
. . .
The Stress Scene - Left Stage
Hmm, left stage like less people.
Doesn't sound very loud.
Nadhirah, focus! :P
And geez my voice at the end = annoying.
. . .
And of course let's end the post with our funny exercise routine scene.
Everyone is practically not being serious, and to be frank it's hilarious.
But SYF cannot like that ah, must focus!
Our moves must be so bad, the dance club would be laughing their asses off at the poor coordination :P
NO MATTER! We shall improve! Preseverance, my fellow dramaclubbers!
And now get ready to laugh YOUR asses off.
Especially at Melvin.
Oh, and I now finally understand why Afiqah tells me not to dance.
I officially suck at chereography and dancing :( Thanks Afiqah.
EXERCISE ROUTINE!
"MELVIN YOU'RE FOLLOWING THE BEAT!" - Nasuha (annoying voice no. 2)

. . .
Ta ta,
see you tomorrow!

Hey Dramaclubbers,
Seniors would probably find this post more interesting.
Badrul sent me the fire skit 2007 competition video he found on the SCDF website,
and I thought it would be nice to upload on youtube for all to see!
Sec one and two members, you will not know what I'm talking about. Here is a brief introduction.
The Civil Defence Fire Prevention Skit is an annual competition held for drama societies
in secondary schools to showcase a play they have created with a lesson on fire prevention.
We used to participate every year, but unfortunately we were busy with Crescendo in 2008.
In 2007, we won the 1st Runner-up (2nd place) trophy and Diana also won the Best Actress Award.
I was not in this production because I was busy with the School Arts Festival (Rapunzel Uncut!).
Perhaps sometime we should try and have a look around the school and ask
the media/FMC club if they have a copy of Rapunzel Uncut! ;)
But anyway, here are the videos for the fire skit 2007 competition. Enjoy!
Part 2
The cast is as follows: -
Diana - Venetta Trumpetta (news reporter)
Jasmeet - Cameraman
Tinesh - SP teacher
Koon hin - Schoolgirl 1
Kay yee - Schoolgirl 2
Badrul - Doctor Shahrul Hisham (researcher 1)
Izyan - Doctor Izyan Maria (researcher 2)
Afiqah - Cik Fatimah (grandmother)
Erma - Cik Salmah Fitri (mother)
Justin - Little boy (son)
And of course the lovely cast for Rapunzel Uncut! (starring me!): -
Sarah - Narrator 1
Cheryl - Narrator 2
Aisyah - Townsperson 1
Herman - The Prince + Townsperson 2
Melvin - Rapunzel's Father
Seraphina - Rapunzel's Mother + Townperson 3
Hui xin - The Witch
Sherin - Rapunzel
Hamizah - Music co-ordinator
(I will find the video soon!)
Ah yes, 2007 was a good year, despite a COP in SYF.
Not to worry though, I'm positive we are sure to improve this round (we better!)
Ta ta, see you on Tuesday,
Herman

Dear Drama SYF participants,
Time is running out.
Our SYF piece is in... pieces. Literally.
We have slightly more than a month left to SYF.
Ms Amy's style of training is scary.
I feel like we are tangling on a thin strand of thread.
Usually by now we would have already finished blocking the entire play
and would be practising it again over and over for perfection.
We have barely finished blocking the acting parts,
and we are currently working on our movement and 'dance' moves.
Costumes, props, music - argh!
On your part,
I hope that you will all co-operate and work together as a team.
We are all in this together, and we will emerge together as one at the end of the finish line.
The journey is as important as the destination. We can make it.
I hope to see more teamwork and seriousness in future practice sessions, myself included (I goof off a lot!).
Use training time properly and fruitfully, because quite frankly
we are each paying a large sum of money for our training. Don't play play.
We want the Gold, and we can achieve it if we put in our best efforts. Nothing is impossible.
Just for your curiousity, here is the judging and award criteria, taken from the SYF website.

Yes, very scrict criteria for drama.
To all drama club members,
we hope you like the T-shirt,
please wear it every drama session.
To wash, you can handwash.
Otherwise, to machinewash, you must put the t-shirt inside a net.
You cannot iron.
If you wish to iron, flip the t-shirt inside out and iron the inside only.
See you guys tomorrow,
Herman

Hello Dramaclubbers,
As requested by Ms Amy, the script for the torturing part has been posted below.
Credits to Afiqah.
Please click the image to enlarge, have a read and remember your parts.
Btw, the drama t-shirts are ready and have been collected :)
And they look good too!
They will be distributed on Tuesday morning.
Don't forget that we have a photoshoot on Tuesday as well.
For the people who have yet to pay for the T-shirt,
please do so by Monday or Tuesday.
That's all, enjoy the rest of your weekends,
and all the best for your common test!
Adieu!
Herman
