hello guys ! Cheryl here :D I really think that all of us from secondary 2's to sec 3's will miss you sec 4's dearly because we really were like a big clownish family when we were doing syf and we all went through the suffering and stuff but we still made it and when we did the show and when we bowed , i knew that everyone of us was upset that we had nothing else to do and we all felt like crying cos we did a really great job ...(: and looking at sarah's farewell video and all the pictures herman posted , i don't know about you guys but i really felt like crying cos trust me after u sec 4's leave we dramaclubbers will be feeling something empty . and for you guys , you would definitely miss the drama moments we all spent together right ? haha , so for right now we should all do our best and pass our mid-year exams very well and after that will be our annual drama camp ! maybe we might even be throwing in a BBQ . cos we really don't want to miss another moment with our dearest seniors ! :( And i wish i could give Herman , diana , afiqah , sarah , seraphina , kayee , doreen and last but not least those two clowns -.- melvin and jasmeet lols well, whether i find them idiotic anot i still feel i love all you guys soo much ! So don't worry we'll continue the drama spirit and do you guys proud ! :D that's all i have to say (: hehe take care guys and we'll see you guys after exams (:

Hey all Drama Club Members,
Today is the official STEPPING-DOWN day for all Sec. 4s and 5s but I didn't want to leave just like that. I STOLE all the the photos from Herman and tried to put my creativity to the test by making a video. I still looks bad but this is one of the few I have made. Watch it!!
Everyone, please don't be sad or disappointed about our BRONZE. Honestly, I still feel we did the best but there is always room for improvement right?
Everyone will fall at least once in their life but what matters is that we pick ourselves up again. Never stay down to get trampled on. Stand tall and give your best each time and opportunity you are given.
We can still cry about our bronze but not for long. We must pick ourselves up again and set our eyes on the GOLD. Never take your eyes off it. With this bronze, the only way is UP!! So work hard and I am certain we will achieve sooner than we expect.
Let us continue on our journey ahead and never turn back. Just catch some short glimpses of the past to learn from our mistakes because our destination is ahead of us, our GOLD is ahead of us.
Farewell and
well-wishes,
Sarah=D

A well-deserved Bronze

Well, my fellow Coral Dramaclubbers,
the results have been out since Wednesday.
Coral Secondary School has obtained a Bronze award in the SYF Drama Central Judging 2009.
:)
Yes I know,
It wasn't the Gold or even the Silver that we were much anticipating.
And yes, I will be frank, I was quite shocked myself on the night the results were out.
It made me down and it also made me wonder what went wrong. It was an eye opener.
But of course, the next day, when we all met up at the canteen to discuss the results,
I was happy to see the togetherness and love.
Like everyone says, it doesn't matter.
Because in my heart, I will always believe that we are of gold standard.
In ALL our hearts, we must believe we are of gold standard. And we are. Definitely.
This Drama Club shall take our Bronze award with pride and with dignity.
We shall take it not as a failure, but as one more stepping stone in our little journey to the top.
As I've mentioned the quote before, "a journey of a thousand miles begins with one footstep."
Please continue to strive and to hope for the best.
Tomorrow marks the school's 10th anniversary, and also the senior's 'official' step down date.
I really wished that we could showcase our performance to the rest of the school population, but we can't, unfortunately.
The remaining SYF cast and the secondary one students will 'merge' together soon.
Please play nice ah, must spread the love around!
And secondary one students,
I heard that you all had drama skits put up last Friday.
I apologise on behalf of the secondary twos to fives who did not turn up to watch the occasion.
We were not given the exact details :(
No matter, I look forward to your future productions with the remaining SYF cast!
I am also eagerly waiting for the judge's comments and our SYF video!
Oh, and today's victory bell ringing was fun, no? ;)
Congratulations to the other performing arts groups for a job well done this SYF year!
Gold - Concert Band
Silver - Cultural Group, Dance Club
Bronze - Choir, Drama Club
All the best for your MYEs!
Goodbye!

A long, fruitful journey finally comes to an end

Coral Drama Club SYF 2009.
We did it.
We've come a long way, my fellow dramaclubbers.
And after many consecutive days, weeks and months of sweat, blood and tears shred,
today finally marks the end of our wonderful journey together.
And dare I say, I loved every second of it - really.
Yes - only with the combined efforts of each and everyone of you, did we manage to succeed in the end eventually.
And to be quite frank, ya. We were bloody awesome. Period.
I believe we all deserve a pat on the back for ourselves.
You've put in your all, and you know you've done all that you can, and that is all that matters.
I am excited to hear our results, and I am confident that we will get a good placing :)
Of course, special thanks, in no particular order:
Ms Anne / Mdm Norul:
For preparing the food, the props, the buses, the practices
and every little thing that happens behind the scenes.
Bravo! We couldn't have done it without you lovely drama teachers :)
Thanks for taking care of us!
Ms Amy:
For your guidance and always believing in us even though things may seem very bleak at times.
We will always be your chu-len (children)!
Main cast:
DIANA, AFIQAH and HUI XIN!
Having to remember large chucks of lines in such a short amount of time,
tortured under the wreath and evil of Ms Amy!
The three of you did outstandingly today, you have outdone yourselves today. Well done!
Diana as well, for the boo-boos on your arms and legs, thanks for the sacrifice and hard work! Right, Ann? ;)
And of course, me, Justin and Nasuha as well :) Good boy Justin, for not figeting on stage today!
Movement people:
Our show would not have been great without the movement scenes.
And despite the cut of the exercise scene, I'd glad that you all managed to deliver.
And I thought the cat scene today was really good!
Congrats!
Arif, Jameet and Lexter:
Arif, the lighting was AMAZING! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thanks to Jasmeet and Lexter too for music and support :)
And let's not forget the ART CLUB:
Thank you Junie for your artwork! We truly appreciate the effort! Thanks Mdm Lina and the rest of the art club for helping with the props!
And now, enough small talk, onto the photos taken from last week to today!
Be warned, there are a lot of photos!
Strangely, there are a lot of photos of Seraphina taken.
Sheesh, what a bimbo :P
;)
Just an inside joke. Don't worry. Most people would know by now. HAH.

so naturally, we had to get an expert to cover her role.
Yes. Melvin.
Sarah-sarah and Sera-phina.
And even if you thought you've seen enough of Sera,
oh you wait.
There's more.
And I tell you, waking up at 5 and getting to school by 6.15 was really tiring.
If you notice, it decreases from me, to Sera, to Justin. Hah!
Oh well, you can't blame people for being short.
;)
Please oh please don't poke her eye with that eyeliner pencil :(

"And now, we have Coral Secondary School, with 'Mirror, Mirror'."
Yes, I remembered the pain we had to go through to wait for the announcement and music.
Sitting and bending in that position for a long time was really a killer.
But as Ms Amy said, today, we have become PROFESSIONAL actors :)
I love, love, love our performance.
After the performance!

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for!
It's time for some sexy posing by the frame!
Starting with the most sexy of course...
No Afiqah, that's not you...

Gosh, I sound as though I'm never going to see them again.
HAH.
She must really love her role :)
Can't blame her, it must have been fun playing the alter ego!
And of course, we must end the post with the MOST important photo of all:
Wow, it took me all day to upload and arrange the photos.
Thanks to Diana and Cheryl for pressurising me all day long today to upload the photos! :P
Well guys, this is it.
We, the secondary fours, batch of 2006 - 2009, have stepped down officially.
Let's not forget the secondary fives too :)
It has been a great experience for us seniors, I'm sure.
It has been a pleasure working with all of you,
for Crescendo and for our SYF.
I know there might have been times where we had misunderstandings and quarrels,
but I hope we can all put that aside and forgive one another :)
My personal apologies as well for being mean and nasty with words at times.
I look forward to your many new future productions with Ms Amy.
Continue to uphold the good name of the Drama Club,
and even though we are gone, we will always be with you in your hearts.
Today has been a very proud day for the Coral Drama Club.
3 CHEERS FOR DRAMA!
HIP HIP HOORAY! x 3
I will miss working with all of you!

Ahem... "Once a slob, always a slob!"
This is my last and final curtain call as a Coral dramaclubber.
Goodbye.
Signing off,
Chief/Mr Ng, AKA Herman
